Instructions for Astro Colloquium hosts and speakers

Instructions for the Astro Colloquium speaker and host:

Please schedule the speaker's day making sure to bring the speaker to the following events at the appropritate location and time.  Please also bring the speaker to see Martha at SLAC at some point during the visit.

Thursday day of talk:


12-1pm - lunch with graduate students
Please bring speaker to 2nd floor lounge area at 12pm in either the PAB building (if talk is on campus) or the SLAC KIPAC building (if talk is at SLAC).  Also please pick the speaker up again at this location at 1pm.

3:30-4:00pm - tea (open to grad students, postdocs, faculty)
2nd floor lounge area in either PAB or SLAC KIPAC buildings depending on location of talk.

 

4:15 - 5:15pm - Astrophysics Colloquium
(Talks should be 50 minutes with a long introduction and aimed at the level of a second-year astrophysics graduate student)

 

5:15 - 6:00pm - happy hour (open to grad students, postdocs, faculty)
Immediately following Astro Colloquium in same room as talk.

6:00pm - leave for dinner (leave from happy hour)
