The Dark Energy Survey

The Dark Energy Survey is a stage III photometric survey that will aim to measure the expansion history of the universe using a variety of techniques, including cluster counts, weak lensing, baryon acoustic oscillations, and supernovae.  This will be a 5 year project carried out on the 4m Blanco telescope at CTIO and is scheduled to begin in 2011. I will present an overview of the survey and discuss current efforts to make accurate mock galaxy catalogs using the ADDGALS method to calibrate photometric redshift estimators and cluster finders for the survey.
