When Will We Find ET?

Summering Physics Undergrads:

This week's talk will be TOMORROW, Tuesday:

Dr. Seth Shostak, Senior Astronomer at the SETI Institute
"When Will We Find ET?"

SETI is the serious Search for Extra Terrestrial Intelligence, now a privately-funded Institute in Mountain View that is systematically searching the skies for artificially-generated extra-solar signals, both radio and optical.  These are the serious scientists, not the X-Files/UFO crowd.  Seth Sostak is Senior Astronomer at SETI, with a background in radio astronomy and is in the thick of The Search.  You're in for a treat.

You can look up the SETI Institute at www.seti.org
A bio of Dr. Sostak is at www.seti.org/about-us/people/staff/shostak-seth.php
