Abstract: Cosmological intensity mapping of star-formation lines like carbon monoxide (CO) and singly ionised carbon ([C II]) should be a powerful tool for astrophysics and cosmology at high redshift, particularly in cross-correlation with other probes including 21 cm cosmology. This talk will review current and near-future experimental progress in a number of projects, in particular COMAP, TIME, and the newly inaugurated FYST. I will also opine on developments in theory and analysis necessary to fulfil the promised roadmap for line-intensity mapping as it aims for fast, efficient 3D mapping of the high-redshift universe in ways comparable to conventional galaxy surveys at lower redshift.
