KIPAC's Rubin Observatory Public Engagement Series Continues at Peninsula Astronomical Society
KIPAC's Rubin Observatory Public Engagement Series drew over 75 in-person attendees and 15 online participants at a recent Peninsula Astronomical Society meeting, making it one of their best-attended events.
Michelle Park presented on machine learning in astronomy, explaining how pattern recognition tools are used to study galaxy populations and detect anomalies. The talk generated strong engagement, with numerous questions from the audience.
