What are the implications of having generative and agentic AI systems migrate further upstream in the scientific workflow? I'll use examples from astrophysics to illustrate both the utility and (current) limitations of this technology. I will then discuss ways in which our institution is framing our thinking about the impact of generative AI on higher education in the classroom and in our scholarship.
Note special Wednesday time!
