On the main Stanford Campus, KIPAC is located in the Physics and Astrophysics Building (PAB), just to the west of Main Quad (map). We are primarily on the second floor of the building

Parking
The closest parking structures to PAB are:
- Via Ortega Parking Structure (Parking Structure 2, above ground)
- Roble Field Garage (Parking Structure 5, underground)
- A limited number of spaces (including handicap spaces) are also available on The Oval.
Before 4pm, you will need to use either visitor parking or permit parking. Visitors may park in any of the visitor spaces, which need to be paid for via the ParkMobile app. Stanford faculty, staff, postdocs and students can purchase virtual permits for A and C parking spaces online in advance through Parking & Transportation. All parking in visitor, A and C spaces is free after 4pm and no permit is required after this time.
At SLAC, KIPAC is located in the Fred Kavli Building (FKB/Building 51). For more details, please see the SLAC Visitor Map.

Visitors to SLAC will need to be registered in advance by submitting a short online form for SLAC Site Access here: https://vue.slac.stanford.edu/visitors. Visitors will receive information from their KIPAC point of contact about the appropriate way to fill out this form. When arriving, visitors should report to SLAC Security at the Main Gate on Sand Hill Road with government-issued photo ID. Everyone coming onsite at SLAC will need a REAL-ID compliant driver's license or another acceptable form of identification. Please reach out to your KIPAC contact before arrival to confirm the details of your visit. This does not apply if you are only visiting the main Stanford Campus.
Parking at SLAC is free.
The Marguerite Shuttle provides free bus transport around the Stanford Campus.
In addition, there is a shuttle service that runs between the main campus to SLAC, departing from the West end of the Science and Engineering Quad, the far side of the quad relative to PAB.
The nearest airports to Stanford are San Francisco (SFO) and San Jose (SJC). The easiest mode of ground transportation to and from the airport is a ride-sharing service (e.g. Uber or Lyft) and driving from either airport takes approximately 30 minutes.
Caltrain runs between San Francisco and San Jose and calls at Palo Alto station, which is on the northeast edge of the Stanford campus. The Marguerite Shuttle connects Palo Alto station to the campus. Alternatively, the station is a 25 minute walk or 10 minute cycle from PAB.
